Little Wedding Festivities

Last Wednesday I headed out to south Texas to celebrate the marriage of one of my best friends! It has been a long time coming ( a year and a half) and I was so excited to spend the week with all of my best friends!

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are some of the ones I do have.  We had such an amazing time with each other and getting the bride ready for her big day.
On Thursday we all went out to get our nails done.  We were able to sit and talk and get to spend some good quality time with just the bridesmaids and mom!

Thursday night was the bachelorette party!  We went out to dinner on the bay and then back to the condo to do bachelorette things.  So much fun to meet all of Becky's friends from home and to be able to shower her with love and well wishes for her marriage!

Friday morning Lauren, Grizel, and I took a much needed run.  I learned that even though I thought Florida had humidity, Texas had even more.  It was so hard to even get two miles in.  But so worth it in the end!

Friday was also the day for the bridal luncheon.  All of the bridesmaids plus the brides female family members attended.  The food was great and again it was great time to be spent with the girls.

I am kinda bummed that I do not have any other pictures of the rehearsal, but I can show you what I wore.  I was so excited to get to wear this dress!  The rehearsal was beautiful and it was the first time we got to hang out with the groomsmen.  That night the guys came over to our condo and we spent some more time with them then too!

The morning of the wedding and actually getting to the location made everything seem so real.  Like I said this was a much anticipated wedding and I never thought the day would come!  Becky gifted each bridesmaid a robe to get ready in and we were in LOVE with them.

We all did each others hair and makeup and helped the bride get ready for her big day.  It was so much fun to spend the morning with Becky and see all of her excitement.  You can see below all of our dresses for the wedding.

I do not know what this picture of Becky and I is not turning out right on here.  But She looked beautiful and I felt so lucky to be there with her on her big day.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and hopefully I will be sharing more pictures when I can get them!  I just want to thank Becky and Josh for getting married and asking me to be there with them! I could not have imagined a better wedding for the two of them if I tried!

I Don't Know About You...

But I'm feeling 22!!!
Oh T-Swift how your song was so perfect for this year!  Turning 22 would just not be the same if I did not have a song to go along with it!  PS in case you missed it my birthday was on Friday!
I could not have asked for a more perfect 22nd birthday! I did everything I wanted to do with all of the people I wanted to do it with.  The day started with pedicures with Ashlee, then moved onto shopping with Lauren and picking up our race packets, and ended with dinner and coffee with the best friends a girl could have.

 I woke up to that card from Jessi and some balloons from Kelly.  I am always a princess so Jess gave me some little crowns to wear!  

And then like I said some pedi's with Ash.  

I chose The Battery for the dinner location.  I wanted to go somewhere I had never been and this was perfect!  

Oh how I loved my wand!

I could not ask for better friends! I felt so blessed to have each of them there celebrating me! They truly are the best!

The first gift I opened was a necklace from Kelly. The pendant on the necklace has the state of Tennessee on it with a heart where Milligan is located.  I almost cried over this one.  I cannot wait to wear it!

Becky noticed my earring holder was falling apart and made me a new one.  I love it when people notice those little things!  

Beck and Jess both gave me some nail polish! A girl can never have too much and it is definitely the one thing I usually don't buy for myself.

I am in LOVE with this printable from Jessi!  The end of it says "Just run".  

There was a limo out front of the restaurant when we were leaving.  So of course I had to pretend it was mine!

We totally did not plan on matching, but hey what can you say...we all live together!

Thank you girls for coming out and making me feel so loved and special! You all made my day wonderful and I am so thankful to have each of you in my life!

Weekend Recap

Party, Party, Party. The one word that describes the majority of my weekend. Both Friday and Saturday night were spent out at a parties with the fam.

Friday night we all dressed up and went to friends house for a party. Lots of food and drinks and dancing later and we were some happy campers!

Saturday night, we all headed over to some new friends home for a dinner party. To say the house was gorgeous is an understatement. It has already been established that my wedding reception will be held there...now I just need to find a man!

So wish I had gotten a picture of that place! We had so much fun with our new friends and even played a fun game of apples to apples!

Sunday Mattie and Boone and her friend left to head back to school. While I enjoyed the time they were here, I was ready to not have 500 dogs all around the house! But they will be missed:))

Just one more weekend left until I head back to TN...

Those Girls Christmas Party 2012

Last night was seriously the BEST NIGHT EVER!!! I cannot tell you the last time I had so much fun!  Between the food, the gifts, and just talking I was such a happy camper to be with my best friends.
Back in October I sent out a Facebook message to all the girls so that we could plan way in advance so that everyone could come.  It is our senior year, and it was very important to me that everyone was there.  We don't know the next time we will get to do this!
Thankfully we settled on a date and time and everyone made it! 

We had yummy food and did White Elephant Gifts.  I didn't want everyone to go have to buy anything, so we had to wrap something that we found in our rooms.  Seriously best idea ever!

We drew numbers and each got to pick a gift.  We were suppose to steal, but none of the gifts were really worth stealing.  But it was so much fun just to see what everyone picked to give!

What we gave: Me: brown paper bags Kelly: a buffalo figurine given to her from an ex boyfriend when she got accepted to Milli Jessi: fake tears and Milligan sun glasses Becky: a CD Lo made for us all two years ago Ashlee: beach in a bag Eliza: a chess and checkers set Lo: A mason jar with used nail polishes, cotton balls, and other nail stuff 
Seriously best gift ideas ever.  And they may have all been hidden and left in Lo's apartment last night...
After we opened gifts we took some group pictures.  It had been a while that all of us were together so this was a must do!

I am so thankful for each and everyone of these girls and don't know what I would do without them!

I'm Going To Be...

A BRIDESMAID!!!!!
Ahhh! I am so excited to say that I will be part of the best wedding ever!  Seriously I don't think any wedding is going to top this one...until mine that is...if that ever happens that is!
Anyways...Becky and Josh are getting married on June 1, 2013 and I get to be there!  If you want to hear their amazing engagement story read here.
So on Friday I got an email that I had a package at the Physical Plant.  This was weird because I was so not expecting anything.  
After class Lauren and I headed down there to pick them up.  We found it a wee bit suspicious that we both had one there, especially since Lo has an apartment and doesn't get anything sent there anymore!
When we got there this is what we found:

Laurens of course had her monogram on it.  We were very excited to open the boxes, but had to take pictures first.  

Lauren was having some struggles with my phone.  And I got annoyed.

But I REALLY was excited about this!!

And we opened it up and this is what we found!

Anything and everything we needed to know about how to be the best bridesmaid ever for Rebecca!  She put in there a little piece of the material for our dresses.  And an awesome bridesmaid CD to listen to all up until the wedding!
Beck thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your wedding day! I cannot wait to stand up with you and Josh and watch you say "I Do".  And yes there may be some tears...if your lucky;)

Bridal Shower: Part 3

It is finally time for the last part of the Bridal Shower that myself and two other ladies planned for Lauren Austin.  If you missed Part 1 check it out here and Part 2 can be found here!

So in this last installment I am going to tell y'all all about the fun time we had! You saw the prep and the setup, and now it is time to know what actually went down at this lovely shower!

Shortly after everyone arrived at the shower we blessed the food and then ate.  As you saw, we had some pretty yummy food at the party and everyone was excited to get to eat!  We all just hung out on the back porch talking and eating.  It was just plain wonderful.

While everyone was finishing up eating we passed around index cards to start our first game!  Everyone was asked to write down their first kiss story.  I then gathered the girls up and read them out loud.  Lauren got 2 guesses on whose story it was! It was so much fun to hear all the stories.  From the "I Haven't had one yets" to the "At cheer camp" and "During church one time" we all were dying laughing over the stories.  I don't believe Lauren was able to guess many but it was fun to try!

After that fun little game we went on to the next one! While the girls signed the guestbook, we also had them fill out a little card.  On it said something like "verb" "noun" or something of the sort and we put all those together to make an MadLib about marriage for Lauren.  Oh man was it a funny one!

We all about died! There may have been something about licking a cucumber in there...oh and Dr. Lee Magness may have over heard and made fun of the bride for the rest of the day!

Next we had another fun game planned.  Before the shower we emailed both Jacob and Lauren a list of random questions.  Both of them sent back answers.  We read the question and answer aloud and everyone had to guess who answered that, Jacob or Lauren.  Some of the questions were "What's your favorite ice-cream topping?" "What would you rather clean?" "Where was your first kiss?"  So much fun!

This is where these fun things came in! Everyone held up the lips for Lauren and the mustache for Jacob!

So much fun playing around with those! They made for great pictures!

We may have put some trick questions in there!  Becky was not quite what to pick so she picked both!

After having some fun outside, we moved on in to open up the gifts.  You know your at a Bridal Shower when everyone gets excited about a toaster! Seriously?! Not use to this kind of party! But Lauren got so blessed by all of these girls with some WONDERFUL gifts!

In wrap up of the party we went outside to take some group pictures! It was so great that we were able to have Meagan there to take photos for us! It is always a huge deal for me to get picture of everything and so I was thrilled to have someone doing this for us!

It is still so crazy to me to look at this picture! The eight of us since freshmen year! Man have we changed.  I love these girls so much!

One pretty awesome thing we did was have Dr. Pat Magness pray over Lauren.  We all prayed for her and her marriage to Jacob.  And then when we tried to get a picture of it we kept laughing at trying to "pretend" to pray!

I know I have said this a million times, but this really was such a great shower! Nothing could have gotten done without all three of the hostesses and all the friends who came! Thank you all for showing up and having a blast showering Lauren with love for her wedding! 

Now I cannot wait to help plan the next one...Becky better be getting excited!
