I'm Moving to New Hampshire

To be honest I really do not know even where to being with this post.  I have avoided writing it because I do not want to admit to myself that last weekend really is over and I am know longer with my best friend.  Tears may have been shed before, during, and after our goodbye. I guess that means I had a really awesome weekend?!

Before heading out for my trip, I had a pretty awful week.  I also have been battling that burnt out feeling with school for quite some time.  I NEEDED this break more than I have ever needed one before.  And I really just needed to see my best friend.

There is something to be said about being around friends who just get you.  You don't have to explain yourself and they already know what your thinking before your even thinking it.  And you like the same things like ice cream and tex-mex and pizza.  Which are all the most important things to have in common.

I got into Boston on Thursday morning and had another friend pick me up.  We drove back to Nashua to meet up with Lauren and Danielle for lunch.  It was like a little Milligan reunion in NH and I loved it!  The rest of the afternoon and next day Lauren had to work from home and kept her company.

On Saturday we both slept in, planned to run and then didn't, and then went exploring and picture taking for the blogs.  I told Lauren I wanted to see the coastal side of NH, so we headed over to Portsmouth, NH.  I fell in love with the old cities here.  I love the character and charm and how there were so many fun places to take pictures!

After Portsmouth we headed to York, ME for an outfit change and the Nubble Lighthouse.  I had never seen anything quite like Nubble and I was in awe.  I could not keep myself from saying over and over how gorgeous it was and how much I loved it.  I love how diverse our country is and even though I thought the ocean was the ocean, I now know differently.

Saturday night we chilled at home and worked on our blogs.  It is so nice having someone to talk blog about.  We may have done that Sunday afternoon and night too...

Sunday was spent at church.  You can read all about my experience there here.  It was a joy to finally see the place that drew Lauren and Jacob here.  And I got to meet many of their friends that I have been hearing about for a while now too!

I am now home and missing Lauren more than ever!  I had the best trip at just the right time for me.  I cannot thank her and Jacob enough for welcoming me into their home and being so sweet and kind.  It is always a home away from home to me and I am already planning a time to go back.  How does next weekend sound guys?

A Road Trip With Mosby

If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, then you know that I spent this past weekend in Tennessee with my very best friends. It could not have been a better weekend ands as much needed after the insanely crazy weeks I had prior to going!

This time around I decided to drive to Tennessee instead of fly. There are many pros and cons to each of those and this time the pro of having my own car won. And the fact that I could make my own travel time won.

So I drove 700 miles for 11 hours (twice). And well long drives like that can always be a tad bit interesting....especially when I am driving alone. Here is a little snap shot of what could/really does happen when I take a road trip.

1. Gotta have a book on tape. And a good playlist or some old school faves. I cannot sit in silence for 11 hours. Not gonna happen. So I find a good book (this time one being for some indirect hours for school...lame) and alternate between that and playlists from college. It keeps the trip interesting and always  my mind away from sleeping.

2. Let's really dive into this music thing. You will find me belting out at the top of my lungs my favorite songs. And dancing. Lots of awkward car dancing. Let's be honest...it keeps me awake. And I must stay awake in order to drive since I haven't figured out this sleep driving thing yet.

3. Lots and lots of caffeine will be had. First we start with a large coffee. From anywhere I can get my hands on coffee. Then we move to diet coke. And more diet coke. Throw some water in there too so that if feel like I am being kinda healthy for the day.

4. Junk/fast food will also be had. I know I know I know. I shouldn't do thhis. But it's the one and only time (for the most part) that I allow myself to do this. I mean sugary foods help keep me awake. And if you haven't caught on yet....staying awake is vitally important.

5. Phone calls are life savers. So many times when I feel like I am tired and will fall asleep I call my mom or a friend. Talking wakens me up and gets my mind going again. Plus this is the perfect time to catch up with best friends who live far far away.

6. Breaks. Breaks. Breaks. I am always in need of a potty break. You see all that caffeine I consume makes me pee. And stopping helps with.....you guessed it staying awake!!! Sometimes I stop 5-6 times in one trip. Other times only 2-3. I have to get gas about 2 times so I know I will stop then. The other times are food or potty breaks.

7. Road rage. I have some mad road rage. STAY ON YO SIDE!!! Where is that from!? Seriously DO NOT drive in the left hand lane if you are going less than 8 miles above the speed limit. Like move. Now. Not cool friends. Not cool at all. If you want to drive slow and safe then stay on yo side in the right hand lane. I have places to be and your nonsense in my lane is not ok. Sorry. Rant over:)

If you really want to experience a road trip with me just let me know:) I am always up for a good drive and fun times!  But not you know what you would be getting yourself into if you did ever go on a road trip with me.

Home At Last and Good News

After a way too long week of exams, I am home at last! I was so ready to leave Milligan and head south that I did something I normally wouldn't do...I left as soon as my last exam was over and drove straight home.

Usually I break the 11 hour trip up.  Or I really don't like driving at night so I will leave early enough so that I don't have to.  But this semester none of that matter even a little bit.  I just wanted to go home.

Do yall ever try to race your GPS? I always want to see how many minutes I can knock off the original time the GPS gives me.

Super stoked because this time I was able to beat it by over 10 minutes! Also please ignore the part of the picture that shows me speeding.  I would never do that...

In order to keep me awake during the trip lots of caffeine was in order.  And this resulted in a major dancing and singing party come 7 p.m.  It was dark, I was tired, and if only there was a video to show my awesomeness.  Pretty sure everyone who passed me was making fun of me!

I also was listening to J.K Rowling's new book.  Yes I listen to audiobooks...lame I know.  But it helps me stay awake sometimes.  And let's just say I was not a fan of this book.  I seriously started to wonder how many more times she could use the Fword.

And now time for the good news! First and foremost I got accepted into my first Grad School.  After my interview with Milligan, they called to let me know they would love to have me! So stoked to know that while this may not be my first choice, at least I WILL be going to school!

Also I got a 100% on my last final! I was proud so I thought I would share that too!

Now I am off to continue enjoying my day at home with Mamerz:)
