Another Sunday Social linkup with Neely and Ashley!! Loving the TV Edition

What is your favorite TV show of the past?

Saved By the Bell wins by far! But it has to be the older years.  Middle school years not so much a fan! But I just remember waking up at 7 a.m. because that was when it was on for us...and yes I was probably watching reruns, but I still loved it!

What is your current favorite TV show?

Grey's Anatomy baby!!! Pretty sure the besties and I practically live for this show! I do not know what we will do if it ever goes off the air!

Which reality show would you NEVER do?

The Bachelor/Bachelorette.  Let's be serious who wants their boyfriend to be dating 15 other girls at one time? And who really can make the right decision that fast?! Not me.  Aint gonna happen! (no matter how desperate I get)

Which reality show would you LOVE to do?

I am totes all game for The Amazing Race.  Anyone want to join me?! How awesome would it be to travel all over the world?! Lets go people!!!

What is the TV personality/character that you feel is most like you?

Yeah no clue about this one.  Any suggestions?!

Which TV character would you want to date?

Hmmm well let's see as much as I would not want to be on the Bachelorette... I could totes go for dating Jef.  Yeah I think he would do ;)

July 4th Recap

July 4 was a pretty eventful day in the Hardin household! Not only were we celebrating our country's birthday with the rest of America, but also Dad's birthday! I have to say the day was a pretty good one! Here is our day in photos!

Ella and I had matching bows! Yeah I may complain about her...but sometimes we like to be twins.  Sometimes.

The island has a 4th of July parade every year and of course we went! And of course the puppies came.  Here they are waiting in the shade for the parade to get to us.

Ok maybe we all got lots of bead.  Bryce and Brooke had a competition for who could get the most.  

For Dad's birthday we got him a paddle board.  We originally tried these out when we went to the Cayman Islands a couple summers ago.  They have become quite popular on the island so it was the perfect gift! He was completely surprised too which was pretty awesome!  He decided to try it out in the canal to get some practice.

Benjamin tried to show off a little and that resulted in him falling in the canal.  Gross.

Bryce is a bit of a showoff when it comes to the paddle board.  The boy has more balance the anyone!

Oh look at me go! I was pretty excited to try it out.  I made sure to stay on long enough to get a picture. Then I was off! Trying to balance on those boards is not easy at all! And lets just say my balance isn't that great...thank goodness I didn't fall!

After spending the rest of the day out on the boat, we had a yummy dinner and then headed down to the beach for some fireworks.  This was the first time in about 6 years that I had seen fireworks down there.  Fireworks over the water are pretty awesome.  

People brought their own fireworks and set them off all along the beach.  Several people also lit lanterns monkeys headed to the moon.  Or at least thats what we decided was going on.

Overall I must say I loved our day.  So nice to spend some time with family and enjoy the sun:)

Today It's OK...
to need coffee in the mornings
to not want to drive all the way back to Lakeland just to come back to the beach in a day...stupid work
that I really need to stay out of the sun for a day or two..I'm just a little red!
that I am super stoked that tomorrow is my last day of Physical therapy!!!
that I am even more super stoked that family is coming in on Saturday for a week
that I keep washing my whites with my darks and in turn now all of my white tanks and shirts are lightly pink...I did this at school and nothing ever happened...
Oh Thursday please hurry up and be over so that tomorrow can come and I can be back on the island! 

Happy Fourth and Happy Birthday!

Today is a great day for many many reasons! First of all Happy Birthday to the best Dad in the whole entire world.  Yeah I am talking about this man right here!

He is a Fourth of July baby and I wish him the best day ever! His momma growing up always told him the fireworks were for him...let's just keep telling him that :)  Today will probs include a parade (again for him) and lots of beach/boat time! Hope it all is really great:)

And last but certainly not least, Happy Birthday America! Thank you to all of the soldiers who have or currently are fighting for our country!

Sometimes and Always #17

Oh how I always look forward to Tuesdays and this linkup! I am pretty sure I spend all day Monday thinking about what I am going to write! Thanks Megan for bringing me something fun to do:)

Sometimes...I feel like life is moving a thousand miles an hour

Always...I need to remind myself to slow down and enjoy this time!

Always...I am reminded during those times how much I love the people I spend time with

Always...I remember it's ok if I don't because Becky said I can always come live in her basement and help with her kids:)

Always...I know when I get back to TN we will all have one big date there to catch up!

Sometimes...I get really caught up in the whole blogging world nonsense

Always...I have to remind myself I started this blog for me and that is what it needs to be!

Weekend Recap!

This past weekend was another wonderful weekend spent on the Island! Oh how I could just lay out in the sun all day!

Of course we spent the whole weekend on the boat! The puppies love the boat and love being able to go play out in the water and sand.  On Saturday we road around the island looking at all that Debby left behind.  We got lucky and found some new sandbars to pull up to!

Only problem with this sandbar....right next to Bird Island aka Nakey Island aka where all the naked people go to the beach! Yeah so not cool and so not fun!

Sunday was spent the same way pretty much! We were able to meet up with some family friends for a little bit.  Only problem with that was it was later in the day when we did so we ended up speeding more time than normal in the sun.  This resulted in my back becoming bright red.  Sun burns are not fun!

I am back in L-town for two days then back to the Island for the 4th and then back to L-town for work for two days and then back to the Island!  This weekend we have some family coming into town! Cannot wait to see everyone:)

What is your favorite store to shop at?

I love love love Ann Taylor Loft.  Seriously best store ever! I am almost always able to find something cute there and it is all the epitome of my style.

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?

Michael Kors all the way. I love his clothes, shoes, and all accessories! I so wish I could buy more of his brand!

I own this little lovely and LOVE it to death!

Must have closet staple?

Black Cardigan and jeans.  These plus a white t-shir, a colorful scarf and a hair bow are always my go to pieces.  I don't know what I would do without them!

Favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type)

I love black flats.  I like shoes that go with everything and since I pretty much wear black all the time I need these.  That and going to school in Tennessee means colder weather sometimes so flats are always apropro for me!

Best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find) 

Hmmm probs anything I have gotten from Loft.  I rarely if ever buy anything that is not on the Sale rack there.  And even on the Sale rack I make sure it is priced wayyyy down!

Style you'd love to try?
OK so I know this one has been around for like....ever.  But I would love to get to a point to wear I can wear cute skirts with the shirt tucked in.  Very simple.  But I have never felt that that look has looked good on me due to my weight.  But soon I will do it!

Maybe not as high waisted...but you get the point!
