Dorm Struggles
Here at Milligan our we have suite style dorms. While this is fun because instead of just having a roommate we get to have suite mates (or people we share a toilet with according to the guys here). While I love my suite mate to death, we have a slight problem in our suite. And that problem would be that we are on the same shower schedule. This means we race each other (or I just race her) to get into the shower in the mornings.
Now for those of you who know me, you know that I am so not a morning person! I have my routine, and in order for me to have a good morning I need to stick to it.
Now this morning I woke up at 8, just in time for me to jump in the shower and have plenty of time to do my hair and makeup and get dressed and head out the door for work at 9. But right as I was waking up this morning I hear that light go on and next thing I know....Kylie is in the shower.
Confession time.....most of the time when this happens I just give up on the shower for that morning. But this morning I just really needed to get in the shower. So I waited for what seemed like forever for Kylie to get out of the shower. (During that time I chose to read this blog which was tons of fun! love her!)
So it was like almost 8:30 before I got out of the shower, which was a major problem because 3o minutes is just not enough time for me to get ready. Some how I did it, but not without some dorm struggles!

Bringing Back Some Old Times...
Yesterday my Dad posted this photo on Facebook. I have no idea where it came from, or what made him want to put it on Facebook (maybe I should ask?). As I was looking at the picture I was trying to place the time it was taken. It seems that I must have been in Kindergarten or First Grade, approximately 15 years ago. I get this from the fact that Mattie and I are in our school uniforms (aren't the adorbs?!) and Benjamin and Bryce are not. Also this picture was taken before my parents renovated the home (if you come to the house now the window in the left is no longer there).
All I kept thinking when I saw this was "What in the world was I thinking putting those shoes with those tights and dress?" or "What was Mom thinking when she dressed me like that?" 90's style or what people?!
I was also curious of whether this is how my parents think of us. When they think about the four of us kids do they think of us how we are today? Or do they think of the little ones we use to be?
Oh how some days I would love to go back to those days and not deal with being an adult, but other days I am so thankful to be done with those days.
I love how my parents raised us and you can tell from the smiles on all of our faces (except for Bryce who seems a little confused as to what is going on...) that we were happy kids! Love my family tons and love the fact that we are all still so close. I would not trade a single one of them for anyone!

Mr. Buff 2012
Tonight was Milligan's 4th Annual Mr. Buff Pageant!! For those of you who are unaware of this contest we have here, several of the men here at Milli volunteer to go through a pageant and fight for the title of Mr. Buff. A male beauty pageant...does it get any better than that?!
This year our contestants were Brennan Tracy, Torian Sitton, Sam Beale, Iam Burt, Sean Martin, Christopher Bosworth, Marshall Werbinski, Erik Zetterberg, and our special guest Dr. Tim Dillon! I have to say they all did a pretty awesome job tonight!

Brennan serenaded us all with a tribute to T-Swift
We also had our very own Michael Jackson impersonator in the house, Torian.
Ian Burt told a very....interesting story that involved Austin Powers, a creepy voiced person named Eugene who lives under the library, and the Milligan Cheer Squad as villains...
And the one and only Dr. Tim Dillon told us some stories from his childhood mix in with a few songs no one recognized...
Erik Zetterberg was joined on stage with Justin Hill to sing and dedicate the song "God Gave Me You" to his girlfriend Allison Hill...little did we all know, but that song led into a rather cute marriage proposal!!!
Here is the cute couple after she said....yes:) Congrats guys!!!
The guys did a final number for us all before they crowned the winner!
And no shocker to the majority of us, but the winner was Torian! His impression of Michael was pretty impressive! He was great of course and offered his crown up to fellow Contestant Marshal Werbinski for his awesome message on unity, and the sash and gift card to Eric Zetterberg for him to celebrate his new engagement!
Overall it was a really great night. There were tons of laughs and tears enjoyed by all of those who were able to come! Cannot wait to see what next year has in store!

My Not So Much Fun Week Ahead of Me
Is going to consists of 4 tests and 1 presentation. Oh and to top it all off I have had a cold for the past 3 days. Things are not looking good... my nose hurts, my head hurts, and Im probably running a fever, oh and my hand hurts...from making all those darn notecards I have to make in order to study, and I am not done yet.
So much to do and not a lot of time to do it in. Especially when all my body wants to do is sleep! Oh well only two more weeks and then I will be home for spring break!!!!

Fun in Class?
This semester I am taking Creative Activities for Children, otherwise known as Integrating the Arts. I was really looking forward to this class for many reasons. One I love the teacher, she is just amazing. Two we get to have craft time. The most important reason...we get to have craft time!
On the first day of class we were all given paper and told to create our name. We were not allowed to sketch our letters first, so as you can see my letters weren't exactly the best!
Today we were learning the different parts of the flower and got to create our own flower with tissue paper and starch.
Now for those who know me, and those who can see these pictures, they know I am not the most creative person out there. But I try my hardest and my teacher tells me I did a good job! And I had fun, so thats all that matters!
