The Interview that Never Happened
Last Thursday I got an email telling me I had received an interview for the Counselor of Education program at the University of South Florida in Tampa. I pretty much freaked out. To say I was not expecting this is an understatement. I had filled out an application but found out too late I was missing a letter of recommendation. So I figured I would never hear from them again.
After getting the email I called my mom not knowing what to do. The interviews were for the following week and I was in school in Tennessee. I looked into flights but since it was so last minute (I was going to have to fly out the next day) they were at least $1000. In order to not have to spend this much I called the office. They granted me a phone interview.
I was told my interview would be from 12:30-1:30 Monday. If you follow me on Twitter you know I have not been feeling good the past couple of days. Something similar to the flu but I'm calling it a cold. Needless to say I was worried about how I would get through this interview.
I put on my comfiest shirt and sweatshirt, and even brought out the red fuzzy socks. All in hopes my fever would fade and I could get through the interview. I waited and waited. 12:30 past and no call. 1:00 came and still no call. At 1:20 I thought I would email them to see if I had made a mistake.
By 1:45 I had heard nothing. So I called and come to find out they were going to reschedule me. A number of people needed phone interviews so they were setting those up separately, they had just forgotten to email me and tell me.
So now as I still await this fever, cough, and stuffy nose to go away I also have to wait out my interview time. Hopefully by the time it happens I will actually be able to answer some questions coherently!
Also I just realized that in the picture of me one of my eyes is crossed. Let that tell you how sick I am that I just realized it and am not taking it down.

My first year of college I went to USF St Petersburg and it was a great school! Tampa/St Pete is a great area, and I cant say that since Clearwater is my hometown and lived there for 1st 19 years of my life! Transferred to Auburn though and the rest is history!
