Feeling A Tad Bit Convicted

I have noticed lately that there is a comment a lot of people are making, and I have to admit I am guilty of saying it as well.  This comment has me feeling really convicted today.  Want to know what it is?

"They didn't love Jesus enough"

I want everyone to know I am not trying to call anyone out here.  Like I said, I have said this as well.  It is just that for some reason I started realizing what we are really saying when we say this.  I know for me, and most other people I have heard say it, it was used in the context of dating the said person who "didn't love Jesus enough".  When we say this, we are judging that person on their relationship with Christ.  Who are we to do that? I don't know about you, but compared to the God I serve, I am no one.  And he is the one that gets to do the judging on whether someone loved him enough.  Not me.  Not you. Not your neighbor down the street.

When I started thinking about this I started thinking "Well what if someone said that about me? Do I love Jesus enough?" I HATE the idea of someone judging me that way.  So why do I do that?

So here is a challenge I would like to present to all of you, as well as myself:

Stop judging someone on whether you think they know and love Jesus, and start showing them that you do.

Amen... thanks for speaking truth, Mosby. Needed that reminder of humility....
